Riverside Park
From: pjbosc
Kids didn't have a lot of places to play growing up in Manhattan. There was always Central Park, but that required more supervision and travel. Riverside Park was right next to our house and I loved walking by the Boat Basin and looking at House Boats or having a picnic, drinking lemonade and plopping down on a blanket on a warm summer evening while eating cold chicken with my Mom. We knew all our neighbors and local vendors by name. It seemed like any small town to me. Sometimes it still does.
